Louise Mcwhinnie, Dean, University of Technology Sydney

Professor Louise McWhinnie is the inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Transdisciplinary Innovation at The University of Technology Sydney, the first new faculty at UTS in over two decades. During the last three decades she has lived, worked and researched in Australia, Asia, Europe and America.
Louise has worked closely with university staff and students in transdisciplinary teams with industry and government on a series of wicked problems. Her role as Dean builds upon her contribution to the creation and development of UTS's first transdisciplinary degree program the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation (BCII), which was awarded a Wharton Reimagining Education award for Presence Learning. Referred to as the 'oscars of education', the Wharton Awards attract over 500 applications from the world's leading educational institutions.
