Robert Petherbridge, Executive Director, Tafe Queensland

Robert has worked with TAFE Queensland for six years and brings with him an extensive knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training sector from his experience of working for the Commonwealth and in jurisdictions including the ACT and Western Australia before moving to Queensland.

During his time with TAFE Queensland Robert has held responsibility for establishing the organisation as a thought leader in the tertiary education and training sector, managing the operations of TAFE Queensland’s Gold Coast Region and more recently taking up the challenge to coordinate Business Development across the state and focus on new business to business opportunities.

A key contributor to TAFE Queensland’s success as Official Training Partner for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Robert was a strong advocate for the adoption of digitally enabled learning to support the volunteer training program – the first program of its type delivered to any Commonwealth Games.
